#89 - Pulled out the huge pink notebook I've kept for over 10 years with my college papers in it. Threw out most of it, into the recycle bin. I did keep my work from my Personal History class, because that's my journal! I also kept work from my poetry classes and a couple of my imitation papers from another writing course just because that was one of my favorite classes and I love the work I produced there.
There is still a box to go through, but I know that box doesn't contain JUST college stuff. It also has my drafts of stories I've written. It will be a challenge to stay focused and go through the college stuff, but along with my work on Helium (#6), maybe it will be a new starting point as well.
#42 - Think I will now go compose my list of 10 movies from Turner Classic channel website...

Day 35
#1 - Well into Numbers. Missing reading the Book of Mormon. Think I'll have to make more time in my day so I can read both the Book of Mormon and the Old Testament.
#6 - Helium added another reward thing. Not at a place right now where I think, hey I'll write an article every day! But maybe I can do one a week...
#22 - This one doesn't feel like it counts because we're paying down that debt on a huge automatic payment every month. But that grand total goes down every month!!
#23 - Finally got more yarn so I can work on Tasmin's afghan again. And that means movies!
#49 - Family Favorites cookbook. Thinking about it must count. I think about it every night at 6 o'clock...
#96 - Avery is sad I haven't started on his date list yet. I'll ask him tomorrow for some ideas of what we should do together. It would be super easy if we had money. Doing in on the frugal side will take some creativity.
*****
I am waiting for banana bread to be done in the oven. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new mixer that Matt won for me at a silent auction. Best $4 he ever spent on me. Can't wait to collect the ingredients for the Ezekiel bread, but I must say Matt's invention of chile cheddar focaccia is absolutely to die for!!
It's interesting... I think about this list all the time. My thoughts go back and forth. Did I dream too big? Did I plan too much? Was I realistic at all? And then I switch and think, heck yeah I can do this! And I'm just totally enjoying this journey...

Day 28
Boy, it would be nice if I'd check in more often...
#1: Still reading every single day, which makes me really happy. In the middle of Numbers.
#4: Missing my friend Charlotte who usually does long walks with me every Saturday. We haven't gone together for the last two weeks. I went with Tanner and Maggie - but let's face it, that was NOT a work out! Went last week all by myself and that was absolute bliss! De Azevedo in the nano, a beautiful early morning, a new section of the River Walk... oh yeah! Like that!
#15: Pulled out Tanner's sampler, but only because I need to buy yarn for Tasmin's afghan and am out of money for the time being. This may be the last x-stitch project I do without a magnifying glass... if I last that long!
#28: Oh yeah, baby! That scale says 160 this morning! That's a 20 pound mark! Go me!
#77: Caldecott - think I'll go read Hugo Cabret after I'm done here.
#79: Cube - can't quite get the middle layer anymore. Where is that answer book?
#93: July 5th was my 4th session and was a spur of the moment trip. Ahhhh....
#97: Took Maggie to work with me today (I SO love my boss) and took her to Extreme Pita for lunch. She's getting pretty good on the adding machine, but the enormous stack of mail today was a little daunting!
Ooh, out of order, but I'm going to work on my journal collection (#88) for 10 minutes before I go read.
Hope there is a Michael's coupon soon. I can't watch my movies without crochet yarn, and there's a lot of watching on my list. And I can't cross stitch and watch anymore; too hard on my eyes.
There's a Franklin Covey workshop in town in September. Seems to go so hand in hand with everything I'm working toward. THAT would be neat to attend. It's all about focusing on the things that are really important.

Day 18
#1 - Continuing to read. In Leviticus. Plodding through.
#22 - Haven't reported on this one yet, but so excited for this.... We make regular monthly payments through a credit consumer counseling place, and I have to say, I love the company we are with. They are totally wonderful to work with and I'll even give them a plug -- American Credit Consumer Counseling. We did have to cut down our payment this month, which is a bummer. But this is the only month we'll have to do it. We are slated to have all our consumer debt gone by November of 2009, then the car is done after that, then the house, then the student loan. But the house and student loan don't fit in my 1001. But that will be very exciting to only have those two debts left!
#42 Taped Bandwagon and Silk Stockings tonight. When will I get to watch them?! It couldn't be tonight because the whole family went to the Y (#28)
#94/#97 Last night we had girls' night. Tasmin wanted to dye her hair brown, so while we waited for the color to set, I did Maggie's toenails and she did my fingernails. She's getting better at it! That was a fun night.
#76/77 Haven't started any books because I am still finished Mull's "The Candy Shop Wars" and thoroughly enjoying it. I really have a lot of reading on my list. Not too sure how practical that's going to be. Although, I do love that it will force me to read more. Other things will get weeded out of my day eventually!
I scared myself the other day reading some other lists that people have posted. Someone commented that you have to be finishing a goal every 10 days! Good grief! That means I'm already behind! At this moment, I only have one thing crossed off! However, I do realize that making progress on several goals every day means that, really, I could get several items crossed off on ONE day, when that happens. Right? For instance, I'm watching movies while I work on afghans. And there are several things on there that can be accomplished completely in one day -- like serve in a soup kitchen or read at Homer Davis or empty the birthday box. So I'm thinking this is still do-able.

Day 9
#1 - Finished Exodus today. Lots of wonderful things I learned this time. I loved when Moses received his calling from the Lord. He kind of argued with God about it, and he kept getting put in his place about it. "Moses, you're doing this. Quit giving me excuses. I'll make it so." I feel like that in my calling sometimes too. And then at the end of the book when all the wise hearted people bring too many donations to the tabernacle and all the wise hearted people work on the building of it... Willing hearts... Wise men seek Him still. It is so wonderful to read and be touched by the Spirit. So much great learning.
Don't know my other numbers...
But I looked up Turner Classic Movies on the TV listings and I'll be able to hit my 10 classic movies easy from there.
We watched XMen III tonight as a family and I had grand intentions of working on Tasmin's afghan, but it didn't happen. It's only the second time I've seen it, so I watched.

Day 8
#1 Almost finished with Exodus. Loving this. Love that I'm reading every day. I just can't go to bed without reading my scriptures. But today I couldn't get started without reading. That was great.
#28 Am now weighing in at 168 so I have eight pounds to go to a mini-goal of 160. When I hit 150, that will be the goal of losing 30 pounds from my ultimate high of 180. (Well, if I'm totally truthful, I hit the ultimate high of 185, but I wasn't there for long. That number got me to do something about it!) Still not finding time to be active too much during the week, but not eating after dinner except on Monday or Sunday night, whenever we have treats for Family Home Evening, and that really is helping a lot. Also, I'm not eating seconds at dinner at all and that has been huge. Every day I do crunches (only about 8 at once) and pushups and squats. I know that combination of things is helping me keep the weight coming off slowly, but consistently.
#29 Got bathtub cleaned out a little bit (it's storage right now because the piping needs to be fixed in there). I know we won't move forward on this project if it's stacked high with boxes! Matt drew a little picture of an idea he had how to take care of things in there. LOVE his idea of the shower with the entrance on the side instead of in the front by the toilet. Nice.
#42 Cyd Charisse died today. I was going to watch Brigadoon tonight, but am blogging instead and then hitting the pillow (since I already read!!). But that's not on my list because I've seen that a bazillion times. But now Bandwagon is on my list. Have to rent it or check the library.
...
Love the internet. Just googled Cyd and found out Turner Classic Movies is devoting June 27th to her -- Bandwagon, Silk Stockings and Singin' in the Rain.

Day Four
#1 - I am reading everyday, but won't list it every day.
#90 I sat and looked at my shelves today in the bedroom. I created a list of the 11 babysteps I think it will take to actually consider those shelves "de-cluttered". I actually found myself excited about the possibility of it looking nice now, looking forward to starting, instead of dreading it. Yippee!
