An update long overdue...
#1 - Still reading scriptures, but mostly the Book of Mormon. Need to get back to reading the Bible as well, but have enjoyed my time. Getting a really good personal scripture study program going around the whole day. Listening to General Conference talks almost every day (as suggested by our leaders) and reading scriptures and Jesus the Christ every night. I just need to add Preach My Gospel and writing in my journal and I will feel extremely well-accomplished!!
#3 - Had an opportunity to go, but it fell through at the last minute. But it caused me to connect with about five other friends who want to hike Sabino, so I should be able to make that happen soon!
#4 - Up to 8 miles in one morning. Just over 2 hours... Wonderful! So excited I can go so far. A BIT sore, but not zapped-the-whole-day.
#6 - Up to 4.52 and they have LOTS more ways to earn now. Will explore that as soon as I get my new PDA toy up and rolling... (old one crashed and burned and I am calendar-less and therefore completely inept at getting ANYTHING done.)
#16 - Mission accomplished!! Went to Florida and Georgia over Christmas break. What a wonderful memory...
#19 - Making friends with a lady who owns Mesquite Nursery. Extremely knowledgeable and totally willing to offer advice and help! (They advertise a "salad bowl garden" in one of those big pots on your porch. Cool!)
#22 - Under the $8000 mark and going!
#25 - Levi's is half-way done and
#26 - I have the pattern picked out for Nicole
#28 - Hit the "Lost 22 pounds" mark on the scale a couple of weeks ago, but that was before Patti brought seven layer cookies in to work to "share". I think I ate the whole pan...
#31 - Floor is all finished. The trim still needs to be finished, but I can't make Matt do it. He's working two jobs right now as it is. He can finish it when he can, but I'm marking this one DONE!
#32 - My own laptop is getting combined with fixing my PDA that crashed. Matt and I are getting ACERS, the teeniest little laptop. SO adorable and I just can't wait!
#35 - Went to DisneyWorld with Grandma and Grandpa Claridge over Christmas break. We did every free thing you can do over there. It was so much fun. Of course, I wish I could take the kids to REALLY do Disney, but things being what they are, this will have to suffice.
#36 - And while we were there we sat on the beach in the freezing cold and watched the fireworks!!
#82 - Found a roller rink still exists in Tucson and Maggie wants us to go for a date! Two birds...
#85 - Had plans to read TODAY at Love of Reading week in Maggie's class, but Tanner came down with pink eye. Now it will have to wait until next year... :-(
#89 - TA-DAH!! Couldn't come up with a reason to be keeping them, so they went in the recycle bin about two weeks ago! Woo-hoo!!! Can I just say how good THAT felt?!?! Filled up the whole BOX!
#93 - Temple sessions
I'm going to have to do some serious calendar searching. Because my record of November until now is in my broken PDA. This is becoming more tragic than I realized at first...
Okay - now I have to go to the original post and see how many are actually accomplished. Because some actually got DONE!

Watched "Swing Time" last night with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Ahhhh....
Didn't work on my crochet projects on my list because I found a pattern for reusable grocery bags that you crochet. They are the beach-bag type that smoosh down into a very teeny space and then s-t-r-e-t-c-h out to a larger size when they are full of stuff. Very cool!
Think I'm going to do the same thing tonight...

Day 156
I only have three things completely crossed off my list. Wow. I do realize that several things are going to roll off there once the house is done from the flood. And many more will get crossed off at the very end because I DESIGNED it that way -- like the dates with my kids and temple attendance.
But I'm pretty pleased with the progress I am making, for the most part.
I'm not getting anywhere on my reading lists (except for the Bible. That's happening.) I have recently become enamored of biographies. I read Julie Andrews "Home" (which was wonderful) and am currently reading Audrey Hepburn's. (I just KNEW she was dubbed for My Fair Lady!!)
But I'm pretty pleased with the progress I am making, for the most part.

Time ticking on...
And I'm not an Obama fan so tonight is just as sad as can be for me. Working on continuing to make my home a little haven from the bad, bad world...
#1 - Finished Ruth October 28th, almost through with Samuel.
#4 - Haven't been walking at all, but the church walk-a-thon is coming up soon.
#5 - Here's a completely random thought on my ballet class. I was walking from the service station to my office a few days ago and had a sudden, weird impulse to do a front walkover! Of course, I didn't do it. I was in the middle of a parking lot (asphalt, hello!) and there's no way I could do one in this old body without falling flat on my head, but there was a definite impulse there. How bizarre is that?!
#16 - Hey! I forgot this was ON my list! We are going to Georgia for Christmas!! I will get to check this off December 19th when we leave!! Woo-hoo!
#22 - Under the $10,000 mark at last!! (Man, I hate admitting that, but I'm sure others are worse of than me, just as others are SAVING instead of paying down debt! I'm just not going to reveal where we started from!!)
#25 - Levi's afghan: pulled it out to work on while waiting for District Choir to start and about humiliated the heck out of my oldest daughter. "Mo-om! You're crocheting in public?!"
#35 - Oh, this is too good to be true! Another one! We are going from Georgia to Florida to hit Disneyworld at Christmastime!
#41 - "Thousands Cheer" is my first Garland flick to check off my list. She only did one number in it, it was really a Gene Kelley film. Mm mm mm.
#75 - Man, I walked the whole neighborhood in support of Prop 102. I met some great neighbors and some scary ones. Something more about that safe haven...Yep, gonna count this one done.
#83 - Talked to Missy about using hers! (DDR)
#85 - Told Ms Legarra to put me down for Love of Reading Week in February. (gotta choose a great book!)
#97 - Clothes shopping. That was great on so many levels. She got something she needed, something she wanted, and something totally just to splurge. What fun! I REALLY need to take out my son. He doesn't have any dates on the list and he needs some mom-attention BAD.

Day 140
I think I should have so many things crossed off... but the whole point was to be making progress, and I am doing that. That's a great feeling.
Still waiting for insurance money to do a lot of the finishing touches on the house, like the trim, and I refuse to check it off until it's really done!
I think I'm going to end up seeing a lot of things checked off in rapid succession, kind of like when you pay off your credit cards and you roll over the payments to the next one as each one gets paid off. When you start that plan, the progress seems kinda slow, but once the snowball gets rolling, all of a sudden three or four get paid off in the same few months. That's what my checklist is going to be like.
I started watching "Thousands Cheer" tonight with Kathryn Grayson and Gene Kelley. LOVE IT! Took great courage and turned it off about one hour into it so I could finish some things that have been nagging at me. And now I'm here checking in, I already read my scriptures today, and then I am going to go to bed!

Day 99 - Wow, really?
Life got thrown for a loop on August 20, 2008. Nothing earth-shattering, really. A water hose burst on the washing machine and we woke up to 1 1/2 inches of water in the house. Looking back, the whole morning was quite comical, but I remember DH and I crying and saying "Oh, God!" a lot. I had the conversation with my little four-year-old that we were NOT taking the Lord's name in vain, but were truly calling on Him for help and comfort! It was a last straw kind of a day.
Lots of friends and family came to our rescue, though. The flooring is complete now except for the closet, bathrooms and laundry room and this weekend we will take our first break since it happened. My walks with Charlotte got put on hold, but we are going to go on Saturday. My legs have been getting their own new kind of work out because Matt and I are laying the flooring ourselves, but I will be interested to see what happens since I haven't been walking in about a month.
On to the report -
#1 - Deuteronomy got finished somewhere around the time of the flood (that just sounds funny, now, doesn't it?) and I am almost finished with Joshua.
#23 - Tasmin's afghan got packed up for the duration of the flood fixing, but (#25) I started Levi's because it's large squares that can go with me. His afghan is 16 huge squares and I've finished the first one.
#29 - Here's where the flood really comes into play... Remodeling the kids' bathroom is going to go hand in hand with this. We are just waiting on the insurance check. We are going to rip out the tub and fix the plumbing, put in a new toilet and new sink. We're just going to leave the game cupboard, but I do wish we had somewhere else for the games... Hmmmm......
#30 - Painting the house will also happen once the insurance check arrives. Humph. I see a pattern here...
#31 - The main room, dining room (that used to be an office, but we LIKE having a dining room again), and master bedroom and kitchen are all re-floored in Allure hickory vinyl flooring. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! I have bought out three different Home Depot locations here and actually made a sale for one store. (I should SO get commission!) When we finish the closet, bathrooms and laundry, I will get to count this DONE!! Woo-hoo!!
#38 - Wood blinds - waiting for insurance check, yaddah, yaddah....
#43 - 100 things to declutter? Yeah, that'll happen next week when we start unpacking everything that got boxed up. Amazing how this flood thing is ramping up my list thing!
#55 - Patti promised when we were all done with our remodel that they would come to dinner to ooh and aahh over our work!
Okay, so it's day 99 and I have 6 things that are going to be FINISHED in pretty short order here. I think I had two done before and then once THIS work is done, I will tackle a few of my "do it in a day" items so I can see some more progress.
I see that someone is following my blog. That is so flippin' exciting!! I wonder how you do that? I'll have to look into that another session, because the bed is totally calling my name.
oh!! I have to say - we finally bought a new couch, too. I have NEVER had a new couch in my almost 20 years of marriage. We have always had second-hand couches from estate sales or friends. It is enormous and fluffy and altogether wonderful.
I need to learn how to insert pictures.
